July’s Game Pass Haul: Six Arrivals, Three Goodbyes
· Dana Whitefield · 6 min read
The weekly Game Pass shuffle is the most useful thing this site does, so let us keep it plain: here is what arrived, what is leaving, and what actually deserves your evening.
Play these before they leave
The clock matters more than the hype. If you only have time for one departing game this month, make it the first one on this list.
- A story-driven RPG on its way out at the end of the month. It is roughly a weekend long and worth every hour.
- A co-op shooter that is far more fun with one friend than the trailers suggest.
- A puzzle-platformer that overstays its welcome by two chapters but earns the first six.
Worth starting this week
The arrivals are a stronger class than usual. Two of them are day-one launches, which is exactly where a subscription earns its keep: no thirty-hour purchase decision, just download and find out.
My pick of the incoming batch is the smaller of the two day-one titles. It is the kind of game I would never have bought on spec and now cannot stop thinking about, which is the whole argument for Game Pass in one sentence.
The honest note
Not everything here is essential, and I would rather tell you that than pad the list. Two of this month’s arrivals are fine, forgettable, and perfectly good for a rainy afternoon. Download them, enjoy them, and do not feel bad when you never finish.
